Telesteps is now the first company in the world to launch a telescopic glass fibre ladder. The glass fibre ladder has insulating stiles and is ideal for electricians or others working around electrical/high-voltage cables. The insulating properties also make it a useful tool in cold or hot environments, where the ladder is more comfortable to use than traditional aluminium ladders.
The ladder has been voltage tested in accordance with European Standard EN 61478 and withstands voltages of up to 30 kV. The advantage of glass fibre is that it does not conduct electricity, and it is therefore much safer to use this ladder when working electrical powered environments.
The glass fibre ladder consists of a very strong composite material that has been specially developed for Telesteps using technology from the aviation industry. The ladder is also resistant to a large number of chemicals, including most acids.
As most other ladders from Telesteps this ladder can be used as several ladders all in one. Either as a free-standing ladder, with handles or extra support for the legs, or as a lean-to ladder. The ladder thus serves as two ladders in one.
The patented AUTOSTEPS™ function, which enables Telesteps multi-function ladders to close down automatically, is of course also included in this ladder. This makes the ladder very smooth and easy to fold away. The ladder also has extra-wide (90 mm) steps resulting in extra comfort and increased safety. The ladder is certified in accordance with EN 131 by SP (Technical Research Institute of Sweden).
